Women of Uganda Network (WOUGNET) in partnership with the Association for Progressive Communications Women's Network Support Programme (APC WNSP) organised a Feminist Tech eXchange (FTX) training that was held from the 4th to th 7th of November 2009 at the East African Centre for Open Source Software (EACOSS), Nakawa, Kampala.
The Feminist Tech eXcahange (FTX) training in Uganda was aimed at giving activists, service providers, women's rights advocates in the field of Violence Against Women (VAW), practical skills to employ the strategic use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in ending VAW, as well as in addressing situations where ICTs are used as a tool for violence.
The focus of the FTX training was on building skills in digital story telling, social media tools for advocacy and mobile technologies for advocacy.
